The SHIELD Training Program is a specialized, trauma-informed curriculum designed to equip law enforcement with the tools to recognize, respond to, and reduce human trafficking in their communities.
ABOUT SHIELD
Equipping Officers to Identify, Intervene, and Respond
Offered by Faith Collaborative, weThrive Clinic, experts from survivors and law enforcement officers, this training is built in collaboration with survivor-informed advocates, justice system professionals, and law enforcement trainers.
Rooted in public health and safety principles, the training integrates survivor-informed practices and emphasizes interagency collaboration.
This training was developed specifically for law enforcement to help identify the signs of human trafficking, intervene effectively, and connect victims to appropriate support services.
